When a project lands on your desk, a deadline comes with it. It doesn't matter if you're the one who sets it or if you're told when it needs to be done, there is always the date on the calendar that gets closer and closer with each passing day. Most of us have multiple projects going on at the same time. That means multiple deadlines to keep track of. How do you keep everything straight? It's finally December! This is my absolute favorite time of the year. Once we get home from our Thanksgiving festivities, it's time to turn on the Christmas music, put up the decorations, and watch the beloved movies that we see every year. This year, however, was a little different. I didn't have the same excitement of putting up the tree. In fact, it took us three days before we got it done. Last month, we talked about the benefits of earning your PMP® (Project Management Professional) Certification through Project Management Institute (PMI®). This month, Dr. Mathis tells you why it is important to have a dual certification of both the PMP® and the PMI-ACP® (Agile Certified Practitioner). When working on a project, I'm sure that you've seen times when traditional project management just doesn't quite fit what you need to do.
