January/February 2021 Messenger: Leading Your Peers & Friends

There are many great things about working for the same company for many years. Understanding your job. Opportunities for promotions. Seeing how the company evolves. One of the best things, though, are the relationships that you make. Working with the same people year after year can lead to strong friendships!

As you get promoted, however, you may find yourself needing to discipline a friend. Oh! That’s never fun or easy. Establishing fair ground rules early on will save a lot of headaches later. It’s important as a manager to never show favoritism to another employee. In this month’s Messenger, we look at five rules to guide you while leading your peers and friends.
